So, its still raining. This is forcing me to go back, all the way back to last year. This image was taken at Shenandoah National Park along skyline drive for sunrise.
Going back through these images makes me wonder how I actually took these images and what I was thinking. It’s pretty funny.
Like I said yesterday, DC has been getting a lot of rain. It makes it very difficult to take sunrise and sunset images because the clouds have been convering the sun. So, I went with my friend William to shoot Meadowlark Gardens. I have a good time shooting with him because he makes me think about a lot of things I’ve never thought about, whether its how to find the right composition or about photo as a business.
Unfortunately, it started raining right in the middle of us walking around the gardens. Fortunately, it stopped pretty quickly and we were able to get some great shots of water droplets on flowers.
The weather in DC has been kinda crappy lately. It hasn’t really felt like summer for the past few weeks and the rest of this week is calling for rain. This is forcing me to look back at some of my old shoots and see if I can find something worth while.
So, I know I have lots of images of the Jefferson, but this one is kinda different than the others because this is the back side of the memorial. A side that isn’t viewed very often.
This was taken at the same time as this image. The difference now is that I think this post processing is better. As this daily blog continues, I can tell a huge difference in my work from when I first started (back in January). It’s really unbelivable to see. Sometimes I’m think to myself, “Wow I can’t believe I took that image”. It makes me really grateful for being able to do what I do and I know that its only going to get better and I can’t wait!
Yesterday my boyfriend and I spent the day at Rehoboth Beach. Just a little way to say goodbye to summer. We spent time shopping, ate a lot and spent together. It was awesome! While on a little walk on the boardwalk, I saw this Vespa against the fence and I loved it. Unfortunately I only had my camera with me and not my tripod, so this shot was handheld. I’m pretty happy with the result.
Happy Weekend! Hope you all have a great Labor Day weekend. This past week has been a really fun for me. First off, I filmed a new video about 4 essential lenses for nature, landscape, and travel photographers:
Here are my images from the past week: One of my favorite Great Falls images I’ve taken to date. Here’s a rather cloudy shot of the Capitol, the morning after Hurricane Irene. When I think about Cozumel, I think about this. Towards the end of the week, I decided to practice my macro. I think its really important to be good at various types of photography. So, heres an image of two red flowers. Then I posted my very first water droplet image!
Last week State of NOVA was so awesome and posted my image from Old Town Alexandria.
FamousDC was so nice and wished me a happy birthday. Plus they changed their background and its my Capitol at Sunrise image. YAY!!
Thanks for reading and I hope you guys have a great weekend! Angela
