About Angela

aboutangela

Hi friend!  I’m Angela a photographer, author, photo mentor and self proclaimed french fry connoisseur.

I always find writing these “about me” pages a little awkward, so I’m going to try my best to introduce myself to you.

I fell in love with photography in my high school photo class. It used to be the only class I didn’t want to skip so if that’s not love, I don’t know what is.

I’ve always been a pretty decisive person. I know immediately what I like and don’t like. For example, I remember being in my photo class and looking at a sheet of negatives I had just developed and knowing that this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I also remember the first time I met my husband Andrew and telling my best friend the next day that I had met the man I was going to marry. Now, I don’t remember my very first french fry experience but I’m positive it was an instant connection.

I’m so grateful for photography. Not only have I’ve been able to express myself creatively, I’ve been able to meet amazing people from all walks of life, explore new and exciting places, and create experiences that I’ll never forget. It has opened my eyes and I can honestly say I see the world differently. I appreciate the little things and try to find the beauty in everything. I’ve also noticed that I’ve become a cloud observer and amateur meteorologist.

In my spare time I enjoy watching game show bloopers, reading and online shopping (just don’t tell Andrew about that last one). I also have the most supportive family ever, the best group of girlfriends and the cutest dog in the world, Frankenstien WooPan.

If you are interested in learning more about my photography, check out my blog I started in 2010. I still find it crazy that I haven’t missed a single weekday since it begun.

This is the photo equipment I use to help me create my images.

And if you’re interested in purchasing my work, click here for prints or licensing.

I also wrote the best selling book, Snap DC: Your Guide to Taking Outstanding Photos of the National Mall and Beyond. It’s everything you need to know about taking photographs in our Nation’s capitol. I hope you read it, love it and get inspired to photograph your own beautiful images.

I have video tutorials and one-on-one workshops if you’re interested in those sort of things.

Still can’t get enough, feel free to email me:

Thanks so much for stopping by!  xo
