I went to a hot air balloon festival close to Cincinnati, Ohio

Its pretty amazing to see this in person. If you ever have an opportunity to go to a hot air balloon festival, I’d definitely recommend it.

So you may be wondering why I went to Ohio. Well it all started a few months ago when I was thinking about my photography. I thought about the kind of images I wanted and how I could achieve them. For some reason, one of the first things that popped into my head was a hot air balloon festival. As my dad would say, I asked Mr. Google and he told me about the Ohio Challenge.
Who knew hot air balloons were so temperamental. Out of the three times that I went to the festival, I only really got to see the balloons fly once. The air quality and wind depends so much on the flight, it got a bit frustrating, but I’m glad I came out with at least one image.

In the town of Middletown, Ohio during sunset. I’m not sure what this lake was called. I’m not even sure where exactly I was, but the colors in the sky were breathtaking.

This week has been so crazy!! I don’t think I’ve woken up so early this many times in a week in a while, but it was so worth it. Check out these links and see why.
I’ve been waiting for this moment for almost a year. The sunflowers at Mckee Beshers have finally bloomed.
Here’s a quick video of my experience there.
I went back to one of my favorite sunrise spots in Virginia, Great Falls National Park
Next I was off to DC for this image of the Capitol reflected in the reflecting pool and the WWII memorial at sunrise.
Thursday afternoon I hopped onto a plane and landed in Cincinnati! I can’t wait to show you guys what I’m doing here, but for now heres an image of the Cincy skyline at sunset.
