Originially I had planned on going to the Kenilworth Park to capture the waterlillies. Unfortunately they do not bloom utnil June. Fortunately the gardens are so beautiful and interesting that I was able to capture this image.
It’s a pretty cool place where there are little areas of marsh surrounded by a man-made boardwalk. It was really cute and somewhere I’d enjoy going back to in June.

This past weekend was pretty confusing. The weather called for rain/thunderstorm the whole weekend. I had big plans to stay home and stay cozy, but there was not a drop in sight. Instead we got these awesome looking rain clouds but not the rain. Pretty good deal if you ask me.

This was one of the last shots I took in Yosemite. We would always drive by it because it was on our way back to the lodge and I always meant to stop and take a pic. For some reason it never happened until the very last day. I think it was worth the wait though. I love how the clouds have an opening for Half Dome, it looks kinda majestic 🙂

As I was leaving Great Falls National Park, the sun was setting and I had to stop and take a picture. Luckily, no other cars were in sight. I thought the trees were gorgous lining the sky and road and the snow was the perfect accessory 🙂

Yesterday was an exciting day for a lot of people in the DC metro area. We finally got some decent snow, anywhere between 5-10″. This year the weatherpeople dubbed it “Thundersnow”.
Have a great and warm weekend and everyone!
