Walking down the streets of Santo Domingo in Cartagena is like no other. You sort of feel like you’re in movie because you can’t believe how beautiful it is. There are bushes and different kinds of flora growing from the balconies and along the walls, people are super friendly and cute little churches at almost every turn.
While in Cartagena, we took a day trip to Isla Del Encanto. Although Cartagena is a little city right along the beach, the beaches there aren’t the best. Isla Del Encanto promised to be a nice private beach with calmer water. We had a great time while we were there just relaxing and enjoying the sun. I fell asleep on a hammock for less than an hour and woke up pretty sunburned. I thought that was a good time to put my flip-flops on explore the island a little bit with my camera and tripod.
One of the most charming parts of Cartagena was the beautiful buildings. Each of them are so colorful and charming in their own way. Plaza de Santo Domingo was no different. I loved walking down the street and just enjoying the architecture.
