This is really funny to watch in real life. As the fisherman come back from their trip, the birds eagerly line up to see what they caught. There were seriously at least 50 birds all lined up.
It was really rainy and cloudy at sunrise one morning. The colors in the sky were all washed out so the sunrise wasn’t so interesting. Walking back to the hotel, I noticed a crowd of people standing in the water. I went over just to take a look and noticed it was fishermen reeling in a huge net. There had to be about 15 guys pulling and tugging at this net so I knew it had to be a big catch. I think the birds knew it was a big catch too. I had never seen so many birds swirl around like I did this day. It was actually pretty cool.
Walking down the streets of Santo Domingo in Cartagena is like no other. You sort of feel like you’re in movie because you can’t believe how beautiful it is. There are bushes and different kinds of flora growing from the balconies and along the walls, people are super friendly and cute little churches at almost every turn.
While in Cartagena, we took a day trip to Isla Del Encanto. Although Cartagena is a little city right along the beach, the beaches there aren’t the best. Isla Del Encanto promised to be a nice private beach with calmer water. We had a great time while we were there just relaxing and enjoying the sun. I fell asleep on a hammock for less than an hour and woke up pretty sunburned. I thought that was a good time to put my flip-flops on explore the island a little bit with my camera and tripod.
