Last night I was out taking pics of the sunset by the Capitol. Although it was beautiful, I think the building was covering most of the color. As I was walking back to the car, I noticed this amazing orange glow coming from the side of the building and immediately asked Andrew to drop me off by the Monument so I can get a better view. I may have missed most of the orange glow but I’m glad I got to capture some of the night sky.

Now for a total opposite change of weather, Hawaii! In some ways, Hawaii and Iceland are very similar. They are both very volcanic with amazing views and their own distinct features. It’s just one is very cold and one is hot.

I’m trying to practice my full moon shots. I don’t think I’ve quit perfected them yet because every time I go, it’s hard for me to find the perfect composition. The photographers ephemeris app helps but I still need to practice my timing.
I’ve been thinking about winter lately. I think it’s because it’s the end of the summer and it’s already been a little chilly here in DC. I don’t know about you, but I prefer the cold than heat.

Yes, its true! I was out taking sunrise pictures as usual right by reflecting pool. I was waiting for my camera to take the pictures and decided to look at what time it was. I wanted to see how much more time was left until the actual sunrise. As I took it out of the pocket of my hoodie, I got bumped out of my hand. I saw it drifting towards the edge of the water when I watched it go in. I was in total shock and stood there for about 2 minutes.
