As I was taking sunset pics, I turned around just to admire the beautiful place I was standing and screamed “rainbow!!”. It was slightly embarrassing because I was all by myself and there were people walking all around me, but I couldn’t help it. I turned my camera around and started snapping away. To my surprise, it was actually a double rainbow! I didn’t see it until I processed this image. Wish I tilted my camera a little more up.
My first time at a marsh! Jealous?
The cabin that I stayed in was on the south side of First Landing State Park, where are the trails were. I loved it. The trees brought a sense of calm during the day and it was great exploring them.
Of course, you can’t forget the cypress trees in First Landing State Park. I’ve never seen anything like them before and take my breath away when I see them. When the right lighting hits them, they are AMAZING!

Last week I spent a few days in False Landing State Park. If you don’t know where that is, it’s right in the middle of VA Beach. I had a great time photographing the park and it even rained a little while I was there so I could get some beautiful sunrise/sunset shots. Here’s one of the sand dunes by the bay.
