One thing that I love about DC is that everything is so close to each other. It’s awesome how something like the monument can be seen from so many different prespectives like here and here.
This was taken at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall at sunrise. In honor for all those who have and are serving. Thank you.
I went back to Great Falls National Park this morning. I wasn’t completely happy with the previous shoot because it got cut short, which you can see here. It was at least 10 degrees warmer so a lot of the ice had melted which made the water level a lot higher. I think that’s where all the color in the water comes from.
I’m really starting to like blogging now. It’s sort of a challenge that I give myself to post a new pic every weekday. The best part is getting feedback (positive or constructive) and its a great way to see my progression as a photographer.
So, please let me know what you think of my second attempt at “Icy Great Falls”. Which one do you like better?
I hope everyone had a fantastic Halloween! I had a great weekend spending time with friends and family. Every year I go trick-or-treating with my little nephews. This year they were dressed up as Woody and Buzz Light Year from Toy Story and looked so cute! Its so much fun watching them run from house to house. This was also Frankie’s first halloween. He was the cutest little lobster you’ll ever see!
Like I’ve said before, I’ve been really busy going out shooting pics for you guys. The leaves have been beautiful this year and I wanted to spend as much time as I could shooting sunsets and sunrises. Here’s a shot I got of the Shenandoah Mountains in Front Royal, VA along Skyline Drive.
I got there really early in the morning and was hoping for some autumn colors. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the fog. Its something I’ve never really shot before and was really excited the change. I think my favorite part of this image is the bottom right hand corner. You can see some trees right below the fog. Seeing little details like that is the funnest part for me.
Hope you all like it.

Thank you so much to Bob R. who let us come into his office and snap this photo of his wall.
This was the first time I had ever seen so many of my pictures framed and hung up. It’s hard to describe the feeling of when I first saw it. It was kinda surreal, like “WOW, I can’t believe my work is up there right now!” It felt like a dream that I didn’t want to stop looking at.
