Taken the day after this image of Great Falls. I went back the very next day because I was hoping for the same fog effect as the previous image. I went extra early and was pretty disappointed when there was no fog. I waited for about 10 minutes I got this amazing sky. Unfortunately it only last for about a minute and I didn’t get very many shots. Its so weird, sometimes the sky will be beautiful for what seems like 20 minutes. Other times you can blink and it will be gone.

I’m so lucky I got this shot. I woke up a little late and got to Great Falls National Park a lot later than I wanted to. While making my way to where I wanted to set up, I noticed the fog peaking through trees. I got so excited and ran as fast as I could to set up. I had to move quick because I knew the colors in the sky wouldn’t last very long either.
With all the tropical storms, hurricanes, and other freak weather we’ve been having in VA, Great Falls is really flooded. It’s pretty cool because now I get all new vantage points because there are rocks that I’d always default to, but now I can’t even see them because of the water levels.
Happy Weekend!
I made a video introducing myself to the youtube community and on my site. I’m pretty happy with it:
It’s pretty cool that I was able to get so many images from just one shoot. See what I mean:
I went to Manassas the day after Tropical Storm Lee left. I got this cool Foggy Tree, Stone House, and Canon on the Battlefield.
The actual day Tropical Storm Lee left I captured this image of the Lincoln Memorial at Sunset.
I’ve finally captured an image of the new MLK Jr. Memorial that I’m happy with.
Hope you all enjoyed the video and images.

This was my third attempt at going to the Martin Luther King Jr Memorial. Why so many? The first time I went, it was closed. The second time, I was not happy with the images I came out with. Third time is the charm 🙂 I had heard that this memorial was finally open 24 hours, meaning I could go there for sunrise (my favorite time of day).
For me, its pretty unbelivable how many images I’ve gotten out of this one shoot. I don’t think I’ve gotten so many images that I’ve been happy with ever. It’s probably a combination of the fog, sunrise, and amazing subjects that were just right there. While I was at the Manassas Battlefield if I was taking new images at every turn. I love it!
This was taken at the same time as this lone tree and my second time trying to capture this image. I really like the softness the fog brought to this image as well as the color.
