Over the weekend I had the incredible privilege of visiting the National Museum of African American History and Culture before it has even opened!!! It opens this weekend so if you get the chance to go, you should totally do it! Start from the very bottom and go up. The bottom floor is about slavery and as you work your way up, the floors move through time all the way to modern day African Americans. It’s so fascinating to see the progression through various objects and stories. Believe me, you’ll love it!
Although Netherlands Carillon is technically in Arlington, Virginia, you can get some of the best views of Washington DC here. This image was taken in the early morning during sunrise.

My dad had been asking me to take pictures of the moon all weekend and was finally able to last night 🙂 This one is for him. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to capture it at it’s fullest but this ain’t bad if you ask me.
Flowers on flowers on flowers. Flowers make me happy <3
If you’re tall enough (or can stand on your tippy toes long enough), you can see this great reflection of the Lincoln Memorial from the WWII fountains.
And then later that night, PINK! The ducks were just an added bonus.
