Looking forward to the weekend. Gooooo PAN-thers 🙂 DUN DUN DUN DUUUNNNNNNN!
Three things I was grateful this week
1. One of my best friends had a baby boy! So exciting meeting the little man after 9 months. 2. The snow is pretty much gone and life can get back to normal 3. and thanks to Mr. Groundhog, the countdown to spring has begun!
I just love how the fog simplifies everything. If I were to take this same image on a clear day, you would of seen buildings, the Potomac River, and who knows what else. The fog cleared everything else out and left a beautiful backdrop to highlight these beautiful willow tree branches. Seriously, in love.
What’s the first thing you do when you wake up? Me, I check my emails, check my social media accounts, and the weather all while I’m still in bed. I feel like it kinda wakes me up before I actually have to get up. So when I saw that there was fog Christmas morning, I immediately got up.
I’m starting to really enjoy the fog. I dunno, it’s like you’re walking through this really warm cloud and who wouldn’t want to walk through a really warm cloud? This day was really different though. Not because it was Christmas but because it was SUPER foggy. I couldn’t even see the Washington Monument while I was driving into the city and that thing is huge!
After walking around for 30 minutes the fog slowly started lifting the monuments started coming into view. Love how unique this perspective turned out and grateful it turned out to be a white Christmas after all 🙂
I picked up a new hobby over the weekend! Actually it’s something I’ve been thinking about for a while now. I’m going to learn how to skateboard 🙂 I had so much fun wakeboarding over the summer but I was not good. Pretty bad actually. But it was a total BLAST. I figured skateboarding could help me get better at it.
So I was over at my brother’s house (like I am every weekend) and noticed my nephews had skatebaords. I asked if I could try and my nephew, Brennan told me that “Skateboarding is sooo 90s”. I told him that I didn’t care and I was going to do it anyways! It was so much fun. Towards the end I was getting too excited by my progress that I fell and hit my elbow and head pretty hard. I just rolled up my sleeves and tried again.
After I left I immediately purchased a skateboard (and helmet) that should be arriving tonight! So excited. More updates on my need for speed soon…
On my way home from Taipei. It was great to see family and visit a city I haven’t been to in almost 8 years! The next few days will be of images from my trip 🙂
