So many people run for shelter when the storm approaches. With a scene like this, it’s hard not to just sit and enjoy. I wasn’t the only one though. I was surprised that there were about 15 other people sitting at the WWII memorial with me, enjoying the weather.

Right before the storm hit. Super dramatic clouds make me so happy.
Another awesome storm last night. I met up with my friend, Navin at the Air Force Memorial and had a great time. It was tough to see actual lightning bolts from the top of the hill, but the dramatic clouds were so amazing. Luckily we left just in time before it started pouring rain.
I was really hesitant to go out last night for sunset. Its just been so hot and humid. I tend to prefer to stay comfortable in the AC than sweating like a hog beast outside. So glad I changed my mind. The sunset was amazing and the lightning afterwards was even better! I’ll be sure to post more from this night as I work on them 🙂
Last week I met up with a few friends to shoot the sunset. I was so glad they were down for anything because it started to pour! Like every inch of my body was wet from the rain. And of course, I didn’t bring an umbrella or any kind of protective gear. But it was still a blast! We spent half the time taking shelter in the Lincoln Memorial and with a quick break in the rain, I was able to capture this crazy sky.
If you want to know where all the ducks hangout, check out the Capitol Reflecting Pool. Saw so many cute little families like this one.
