A few months ago, I was lucky enough to be selected to tour the Smithsonian Natural History museum before it even opened! It was so fun to walk through the empty halls. While we were waiting for everyone to gather in the Atrium Cafe I took the time to take a picture of these cool steps. I loved the lines and repetition it created from below.
Finally finalized all my travel arrangements to San Francisco next week! I’ve never been so last minute before. It’s all exciting and kinda hard to believe. So, if you’re in the bay area try to come out to the last stop on Trey’s Photowalk tour. It will be a great time!

I love mornings like this. Seriously, is there a better way to start off the day? I don’t think so. Theres something about a beautiful spring morning that makes you feel so good. Even when you’re stuck in traffic and really don’t want to go to work, how could you be upset when you’re looking at this amazingness?

Last week we had some crazy foggy weather in DC, didn’t we? I wasn’t expecting to take pictures of the Monument, but when I drove into the city to take pics of the White House Christmas Tree, I could barely see the monument. It wasn’t until I got closer til I could make out the faint lines of the tall structure. I thought it looked pretty cool and creepy all at the same time.
So, I didn’t make it to the blood moon. I have 3 really good excuses, but thats just it, they’re excuses. I tried to make up for it by going the next day and trying to capture the moon. I was hoping for one of the points to point at the moon but got there too late. Next time, Moon.
Growing up in the Washington DC area, sometimes its hard to find new perspectives on monuments and places that have been photographed thousands of times. I think the Memorial Bridge is a great place to get started.
