Great Falls National Park, Waterfall, HDR, Landscape

I went back to Great Falls National Park this morning. I wasn’t completely happy with the previous shoot because it got cut short, which you can see here. It was at least 10 degrees warmer so a lot of the ice had melted which made the water level a lot higher. I think that’s where all the color in the water comes from.

I’m really starting to like blogging now. It’s sort of a challenge that I give myself to post a new pic every weekday. The best part is getting feedback (positive or constructive) and its a great way to see my progression as a photographer.

So, please let me know what you think of my second attempt at “Icy Great Falls”. Which one do you like better?

Whats the best part about freezing cold weather? Freezing cold water!

This shoot ended early when I was leaning against an icy rock and somehow a piece of ice gave out underneath my hand. My beautiful remote and my glove got completely soaked in the potomac water. I took a few more shots and attempted to get up when both of my feet went knee deep into the water. I got back to my house as fast as I could and immediately soaked them in hot water.

I want to try and go back soon.

Manhattan, New York, Landscape, City, HDR, Photography, Photo, HDR Photographer, NYC

Heres a pic I took when I was in New York last month. We’re standing in Brooklyn with a view of Manhattan at sunrise. It was quite an adventure getting there with our cab and walking around lost, tired, and cold. I’m glad we were able to find this awesome view.
