HDR

I have never been to the National Musuem of the American Indian and to this day I still haven’t, but it has the most interesting architecture of the National Mall. One of the best things about being a photographer is getting to explore new places like this.

Happy 1st Anniversary to me and HDR!

March 2010 was when I first learned about HDR, practiced and really started to love it.
What better way to celebrate but to post embarassing pics I used to call “awesome” and compare it to how I’d work them now. It’s crazy to see how much has changed in a year.

And of course, an image of my puppy, Frankie 🙂

Please let me know what you think!

This image was taken a little while ago. I was trying to capture the water at sunset, but when I turned to go home around I noticed the moon with dark sky. It looked very romantic and creepy at the same time and I just had to shoot it.

Next week I’ll be in sunny California and I can’t wait. I’m so excited about all the picture-taking potential. Don’t worry, I have blogs lined up for you all while I’m gone so I hope you all have a great weekend 🙂

For Christmas, my wonderful boyfriend bought me the S95. I broke previous point-and-shoot camera over the summer and felt a little empty without one. I love this camera. Not only does it allow manual features, it also does HDR.
Here’s my first HDR image with the S95 at Georgetown Cupcake in DC. I remember this place when it was just a little store where you could barely sit. Now its a full on shop with lines around the corner for these cupcakes. I’m so glad to see this place grow.
