HDR

library of congress, washington dc, night photography, fountain, long exposure, hdr, angela b. pan, abpan

This was my second time at the Library of Congress. The first time was in the middle of the afternoon and I tried to capture the fountain, but never posted anything because I was never really satisfied by the image.

I finally got the idea to go at night. I figured the contrast of the dark night with the spotlights and water would look really good in HDR. I think my favorite part of this image are the details. I love looking at the different parts of the fountain and discovering something new.

rodeo beach, northern california, beach, sunset, landscape, hdr, angela b. pan, abpan, water

Literally. HAHA

Taken in March during my Northern California trip, Rodeo Beach was my very first stop right off the plane.

I had a difficult time with this image. I tried many times, but never could get it exactly the way I wanted. The original image had many problem areas, so finally I decided to cropped them all out and concentrate on pieces.

scotts run, waterfall, mclean, virginia, hdr, potomac, great falls, landscape, long exposure, abpan, angela b. pan

Thanks to my friend, Tony who told me about this place. I’m embarassed to say that I used to live really close to this waterfall but never knew about it.

This is one of my favorite shots from this day because it reminds me of fireworks in the sky. Watch me try to find this beautiful spot: http://youtu.be/JzwDCOZhbQo

blue tractor, farm equipment, ford, hdr, landscape, west virginia, angela b. pan, abpan

Driving along a road, this blue tractor caught my eye. I was debating whether or not I should turn around. 1. It was hot. 2. There was a family in the yard and I didn’t know if they would think I was weird or not. 3. It was just so much easier to pretend like I didn’t see it.
But I DID see it. I kept thinking to myself, “blog, blog blog”. So I turned around, drove up to the family and asked if I could take a picture of the blue tractor in front of the lawn. The family was so nice. They told me that they bought it brand new in 1971. I’m so glad I pulled over, but I still don’t know if they think I’m weird.

Hello Hello Hello!
Hope you all had a great week.
Did you see what I did over Memorial Day Weekend? I had a great time hanging out with friends, visiting a festival and of course taking pictures. Subscribe if you want to see more videos like this.

On Monday, I told you about how I went to the Supreme Court 4 times to get this shot, but I think it was worth it.

In the video, I told you guys I was at Viva Vienna. Here’s what the carousel looks like at night.

When I captured this image of the National Cathedral, it was probably one of the worst photo experiences I’ve had because of the cold. You better enjoy it! Just kidding… kind of.

I went to the Meadowlark Botanical Gardens again, but this time with my mom. She loves plants, flowers, and that sort of thing so she helped me spot all the pretty flowers. It definitely made my job a lot easier.

Lastly, heres another image of the Lamborghini. The licenses plate was blurred out for obvious reasons.

My World War II Memorial image was in this past week’s FamousDC

That’s all for this week. Enjoy your weekend and I’ll see you all Monday!
Angela
