Man, this place is GORGEOUS. I just found out about this place the other day when I was researching things to photograph in DC. For being such a small city, there are so many hidden treasures. This is definitely one of them. Can’t wait to find some more. If you have any suggestions of places to photograph in DC or anywhere else comment below 🙂

air force memorial, dusk, virginia, arlington, washington monument, angela b. pan, abpan, hdr, landscape,

I wasn’t planning on going out to take pictures, but I was taking my puppy out for a walk after a thunderstorm and noticed all the clouds. I quickly ran to my computer and tried to figure out a good sunset spot in the city. The Air Force Memorial is one of the newer memorials and I wasn’t sure if it would be a good place for sunset. I decided to try it anyways since I could point up in the sky and I could at least get some good clouds. I’m glad I waited til after the sunset, when all the other tourists went home, to get this shot.

This is the back, and this is the front.

The Udvar-Hazy Center is another one of those places where you can’t use tripods in the DC area. Its understandable because this place can get really busy and it would just get in the way. So what do you do if you have to take a long exposure photo? Hold your breath!

This past weekend I was at the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center Air and Space Museum in Chantilly, Virginia. Although this wasn’t my first time there (seen here), I took a different approach this time. I thought about how some photographs I’ve seen look kinda hectic. There are plane and other sorts of flying objects on the ground, in the air, and sometimes right in you face. I thought I’d try to find the more simple things and concentrate on lines. I love how the helicopter propellers lead your eye into the image.

Happy Weekend Everyone! Hope you all had an amazing week. Here are so of the things you may have missed:

I came back from Ohio and uploaded a few images from the weekend.
Ohio had some beautiful sunsets, but the real reason why I was there was for the MidUSA Ohio Hot Air Balloon Challenge. Heres a nice one with the balloons in the sky.

Here’s my behind the scenes look behind my images:

Now that I’m back home, the heat wave has been seriously affecting my images. It’s hard to get a nice sunset or sunrise. So I figured I could go to one of my favorite spots for pictures and shoot the water at Great Falls. While I was there I ran into this pretty butterfly that I just had to capture.

This past week was amazing for my work:
I was in FamousDC for my Capitol Sunrise

And in HDR Spotting 3 times!!

Hope you all have a great weekend! 🙂

Do you like the title?

Yesterday when I was walking back from taking pics of the waterfall, seen here, I saw a few butterflys picking at these flowers. I really wish I had my 100mm macro lens so I could of gotten a better shot, but I had to make due with my 24-105mm kit lens.
