I always feel so happy and special when I see clouds like this. What are they called? I love how they are lined up like that. It makes my job soo easy.
WWII
We had some crazy storms yesterday in the DC area. So whenever that happens, I try my best to make it out for sunset to shoot. Luckily by that time they had already passed and left some pretty awesome clouds in their wake.
Theres this special moment in the day. I don’t know if it happens everyday but if you’re lucky you’ll see it. As the sun is setting behind the Lincoln Memorial, about 10 minutes before it goes all the way down, the Washington Monument illuminates. Most people are facing the Lincoln and checking out the beautiful sky there, but if you take a quick second to turn around the Washington Monument is so beautiful and colorful. It always makes me smile.
Last week I met up with my friend, Jason for sunrise pics at the Lincoln Memorial. But when we got there, there had to have been at least 50 people working out in some kind of workout group. It was fun to watch but we weren’t there to photograph them, we were there for the sunrise. As we walked along the reflecting pool, we were greeted by this beautiful purple-ish sunrise and ended the morning by the WWII memorial. I loved how the sun light reflected off the water. Seriously such a beautiful morning to start the day.
Hope everyone has a Happy Memorial Day weekend! In case you haven’t signed up, I’m sending out a newsletter soon with stuff I haven’t told anyone yet! Be the first to know and sign up here.
