washington monument

Hi Everyone!

This past week I posted images from two different coasts. Some California pics and a few DC pics. Check ’em out:

From Yosemite National Park, I showed you guys Three Brothers and there was Redwood Creek in John Muir Woods.

From DC I had an image of the Big Three of DC: Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, and the US Capitol. I also highlighted the Capitol building with this image with spring tulips.

OMG! Trey Ratclifftweeted me and said he watched my Vlog!
See the video he’s talking about here.

Also, I bet you didn’t know I could bake. These cookies turned out amazing!

Next week I’m going to be spending a few days in Vegas. I can’t wait!!

Until then,
Angela

I’ve been wanting this shot for a while now. I still need more practice because I really had to crop this down in order for me to get what I was looking for. Either I need a longer lens at this same spot or find a closer spot to this gorgeous view.

Come with me to the World War II Memorial!

Here’s the final result:

I’m so glad spring is here. Not only is the weather warmer (which makes it easier to get out of bed for sunrise images) but the water fountains have turned on in DC! I held off of visiting some monuments because the water was off, so this opens up so many more doors for US 🙂

There are so many people at the Tidal Basin in the mornings because of the cherry blossoms, that you kind of feel overwhelmed. Its hard to get a good spot, unless you get there super early or you decide to go against the crowd and photograph something else. Everybody seemed to be shooting the Jefferson Memorial, but I noticed that the Washington Monument had all this color behind it. So, I quickly turned my camera from the Jefferson to the Monument and found a perfect spot where the cherry blossoms were framing it.
