As you’re reading this, I’m probably on a plane to San Francisco! I’ll be there for Trey Ratcliff’s last photowalk stop on his tour and meeting up with a few other masters and apprentices of the Arcanum. It should be a super fun weekend. So if you’re in the bay area, definitely come check it out 🙂
Last week I met up with my friend, Jason for sunrise pics at the Lincoln Memorial. But when we got there, there had to have been at least 50 people working out in some kind of workout group. It was fun to watch but we weren’t there to photograph them, we were there for the sunrise. As we walked along the reflecting pool, we were greeted by this beautiful purple-ish sunrise and ended the morning by the WWII memorial. I loved how the sun light reflected off the water. Seriously such a beautiful morning to start the day.
So glad it’s Friday! I had a busy week of meetings and appointments and currently listening to a lot of hammer banging because we’re getting repairs done to the house. It’s not the funnest thing to listen to while you’re working, but I’m glad our shower is finally getting fixed.
What are your plans for the holiday weekend?
Here are three things that I’m grateful for this week:
1. Theres nothing like seeing your work blown up and center stage in a law office right next to the White House! So exciting to see this in person.
2. Starting to work with interns. I have Nia who’s a film student at Howard U and Jon who’s a freshmen at American U. I’m excited to see what will come out of these two 🙂
This was taken the same morning as the previous Lake Anna image. Actually this was probably 10 minutes before this was taken. I tend to snap my image and keep on moving. I don’t like staying in the same spot or else you come home with a memory card full of the same images.
Lake Anna wasn’t all just water sports, I went shooting too! We’re super lucky that we stayed at this great rental property that overlooked Lake Anna. I naturally wake up early. I’m not sure if it’s from all the sunrises that I wake up for or waking up to feed Frankie, my internal clock is just used to it now. So I saw the gorgeous sky and had to go out with my camera.
