The end of last week all the DC weather peeps were promising some snow on Sunday. I was doing my little snow dance at night because I’ve been waiting for some good snow all winter. Guess what! It didn’t happen!
This whole winter, we got one day of semi-ok snow. It snowed and only accumulated to less than .5″. This image was from that time. Hopefully posting pics of snow will bring on the snow!
Shot about 15 minutes before this image. I got a few weird looks from taxi drivers. I guess they aren’t used to people setting up a tripod infront of the airport taking pics that early.
I’ve been on a hot air balloon when I was much younger in FL. I don’t remember much about it, but I remember wanting to do it again.
Being on a hot air balloon in MD was so much fun! We flew at varying heights, the most being at 1450ft. and the at the lowest we would’ve been able to grab a leaf off a tree had there been leaves on trees. We were super lucky to be up in the air on such a nice day. It wasn’t cold or very windy. It was absolutely perfect. While we were in the air we saw 2 bald eagles, about 10 deers running around, and thousands of winter geese flying in V’s. It was amazing! If you’re looking for a cool, new adventure, I’d definitely recommend hot air ballooning.
Now that it’s 2012, I spent the holidays going through my prints. I decided that I wanted to give you all a holiday gift and package some of my favorite images and SLASH the prices.

I woke up this morning and KNEW I was going to get an awesome sunrise. Do you ever have one of those days where you’re like, “Man, today is going to be an awesome day”.
As I drove toward DC I could see the sky just getting better and more colorful. When you actually get there, you see the potomac on either side of you and the sky was reflecting so beautifuly on the water, I really wished I could of just pulled over on the side of the street and took pics right there. My original intention was to take pics at the Capitol again, to get the original pic I intended for, but that reflection was just way too amazing so I quickly made up my mind to head over to the tidal basin. As soon as I got there, I was so disappointed. You can usually see the sunrise perfectly behind the Jefferson, but it was too cloudy. It’s so crazy how much views can change. Oh well, I’m still happy with this shot.
