I usually try to keep people out of my shots. I don’t know why. It’s just some silly rule I came up with all on my own a while ago. So lately, I’ve been trying to see how they can add to my image. I love this because it shows how grand and large these trees are.
Best view of the sunset inside Zion National Park. This was taken right by the Zion Human History Museum on a bridge with tons of photographers lined up.
Scott Jarvie. The man behind the lens of so many great images. He’s currently on a tour across America photographing #FaithinAmerica. Luckily, I got to meet him while he was in DC. Such a great guy and so easy to talk to.
We met up at Iwo Jima and walked over to Arlington National Cemetery for sunset. Right after I snapped this image, he screamed from the top of the hill “oh, were you taking a picture of me?” HAHA great guy!
I was photographing the sunrise by the reflecting pool when I turned around and looked at the Lincoln Memorial. Mr. Lincoln was glowing! This orange light was radiating from the interior. I had to go inside.
I happened to be with my cousin who is the one standing ion the corner. I didn’t even notice him there until I was processing this image but left him in for scale.
For me, the WWII memorial is one of the more difficult memorials to photograph in DC. It’s so big with so many beautiful fountains and things to look at. It’s hard to get it all in one image.
