The Jefferson Memorial isn’t just for the Cherry Blossoms, it’s beautiful anytime of the year. Although when I went this morning, I didn’t get the shot I expected. I wanted to go down closer to the tidal basin and walk around to try to find my perfect image. Come to find out it was flooded. All these thunderstorms got in my way again! Rain, rain go AWAY!

constituion gardens, abpan, angela b. pan, landscape, sunset, hdr, pond, reflection, willow trees

I knew I wanted to come to the Constitution Gardens for a sunset image because its one of those forgotten places in the mall. It’s kind of hidden and I don’t hear too much about it. It’s a really pretty place with willow trees and ducks all around.

But when I got there to take the image it was pretty difficult. It was hard to come up with a good composition. I circled the pond for a while, until I came up with this image. Hope you all like it.

Guess what? I went to Paris over the weekend! It was awesome.

Just Kidding.

I wish.

This is of Paris Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Taken right before sunrise, there were plenty of people stumbling out of the casinos. They had a lot to say to me, some of which was really funny. Oh to be sober, when others aren’t. HAHA

great falls, maryland, potomac river, sunrise, gorge, hdr, landscape, abpan, angela b. pan

Great Falls National Park has two different sides to it, Virginia or Maryland. A lot of people have their own preference as to which side is better, but I prefer the Virginia side 🙂 I grew up going to the Virginia side and I’m more familiar with it. I may be biased cuz I’ve only been to the Maryland side once, but it’s kinda confusing.

lincoln memorial, washington monument, sunrise, landscape, hdr, travel, angela b. pan, abpan, columns, architecture

If you’re visiting DC from out of town, one of the best places to catch the sunrise is at the Lincoln Memorial. There’s a gorgeous view of the whole mall and the sun is lights it up beautifully.

My orginial intention was to go and capture the reflection pool with the monument, but it’s closed for construction. I had to go some where that all the cranes and dirt would not be visible in the image. I climbed the Lincoln Memorial stairs and instead of going inside I tried out the right side to see the view. Hope you like the image 🙂

acquatic garden, washington dc, trees, hdr, landscape, travel, angela b. pan, abpan, Kenilworth Park, Anocastia

Originially I had planned on going to the Kenilworth Park to capture the waterlillies. Unfortunately they do not bloom utnil June. Fortunately the gardens are so beautiful and interesting that I was able to capture this image.

It’s a pretty cool place where there are little areas of marsh surrounded by a man-made boardwalk. It was really cute and somewhere I’d enjoy going back to in June.
