Yesterday was my first time at Mt. Vernon. I loved how scenic the drive was so I went back this morning to try to get a great sunrise pic.

In efforts to try to get a the best image possible, I ended up exploring along the water and fell knee deep into mudd… TWICE. It’s important to have the right gear, but it’s also important to wear the right clothing. Don’t wear your favorite pairs of jeans or the boots you just bought over the weekend to go shoot pics. Here’s an iPhone pic of the end result:

Hope you enjoyed the image and have a great weekend everyone!

This was my first time visiting George Washington’s Home, Mt. Vernon. To be honest, I never really knew where it was. Turns out, it’s only 25 min away from my house. I knew it was going to be historical and educational but while I was walking through, I really enjoyed my time there. Everyone was really friendly, they were willing to help me find where I was going and answer any random question I had. I think one of the best parts was at the end in the Education center. Did you know when Mr. Washington was inaugurated he only had 1 tooth in his mouth? Crazy, but interesting!

This blacksmith was in the middle of making a 100 boot stands that cleans the bottom of your boot, in the olden days.

My First Vlog! Let me know what you think. I’m excited to start vlogging to show you all my travels.

Soon after I was done recording, a US Capitol Police officer came biking towards me and said I couldn’t have my tripod there. So, I brought it out beyond Capitol grounds and came up with this image.

One thing that I love about DC is that everything is so close to each other. It’s awesome how something like the monument can be seen from so many different prespectives like here and here.

This was taken at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall at sunrise.
In honor for all those who have and are serving. Thank you.
