MacArthur Causeway, miami, downtown, night photography, south beach, hdr, lights, bridge, florida, travel, landscape, angela b. pan, abpan

I made it to Miami! So happy to be at the beach for maybe the last time this year. The weather is warm and I’m loving it.

The real reason why I’m here is for a marekting conference. It’s pretty much an all day thing for the next 2 days so hopefully I’ll be able to get at least some great sunrise shots for you guys. Don’t worry, I’m still vlogging as much as I can.

I arrived on Saturday and was so happy to meet and shoot with Scott Kelly of Gallery of Hope, Kim Seng of Captain Kimo and their friend Bruce. They were great guys that loved to joke around. They were nice enough to pick me up from my hotel and take me to this amazing spot, MacArthur Causeway, for sunset. When we arrived, I was pretty surprised at how many photographers were already there. I’m so used to DC/VA where I’d be the only photographer for miles. It was great talking to them about their experiences in photo and observing their dynamics together.

Thanks again Scott, Kim and Bruce for your hospitality and when you guys make it to DC, I owe you one!

It’s Miami! 😉

mountain, shenandoah mountains, fog, colors, blue, hdr, travel, virginia, nature, landscape, sunrise, angela b. pan, abpan

This image was taken last year in the Shenandoah Mountains at sunrise. Unfortunately there wasn’t much of a sun because of all the fog, but I’m really starting to get into these fog images. Lately I’ve been noticing myself hoping for it.

I had to post this image because I had a fail this morning. I tried going out for some sunrise images but as soon as I got to my location it started raining, HARD. So, I plan on going out tomorrow and hopefully bringing you guys something very new. In the mean time, I really like the abstractness of this image.

great falls, sunrise, landscape, national park, travel, pink, waterfall, mather gorge, virginia, va, angela b. pan, abpan,

Taken the day after this image of Great Falls. I went back the very next day because I was hoping for the same fog effect as the previous image. I went extra early and was pretty disappointed when there was no fog. I waited for about 10 minutes I got this amazing sky. Unfortunately it only last for about a minute and I didn’t get very many shots. Its so weird, sometimes the sky will be beautiful for what seems like 20 minutes. Other times you can blink and it will be gone.

Great falls, national park, fog, sunrise, landscape, nature, virginia, angela b. pan, abpan, travel, hdr, water, waterfall,

I’m so lucky I got this shot. I woke up a little late and got to Great Falls National Park a lot later than I wanted to. While making my way to where I wanted to set up, I noticed the fog peaking through trees. I got so excited and ran as fast as I could to set up. I had to move quick because I knew the colors in the sky wouldn’t last very long either.

With all the tropical storms, hurricanes, and other freak weather we’ve been having in VA, Great Falls is really flooded. It’s pretty cool because now I get all new vantage points because there are rocks that I’d always default to, but now I can’t even see them because of the water levels.
