Who says you have to go far to see some beautiful colorful leaves? This was taken at the tidal basin where the cherry blossoms usually bloom.

Spring is here! Spring is here! Spring is here 😀
This past weekend I spent a good deal of time walking around the city. Although DC is most known for the cherry blossoms around the tidal basin, there are so many different variations of these Japanese flowers that bloom at different times and in different parts of the city. I found a few trees close to the Capitol building.
I’ll be out taking cherry blossom pics pretty much everyday this week. If you see me, please come say hi. That’d be so awesome!
OK, last time I lied. This MAY be my last cherry blossom image of this year.

This was taken on my first day of visiting the cherry blossoms in DC this year. I was watching the sunrising while I was on my way there and could not wait to park my car. I don’t know if I’ve ever walked so fast in my life to get to my perfect spot. The sun rises quick!
