Taken about 2 minutes after this image, but the pink light only lasted for 5 minutes.

This was taken during yesterday’s sunrise. As soon as I arrived at the reflecting pool, I was amazed by the view. I don’t think I’ve ever seen the sky and the monument look like this before. I’m so glad I got to see it one last time before the they stop lighting the monument at night.
The leaves are really changing colors now in DC. Such a beautiful time to be in the city.

The Washington Monument at sunrise. I had expected this sunrise to be a little stronger and more colorful, but still beautiful nonetheless.
Sometimes the colors in the sky don’t perfectly align how you want them to. At that point, I pick up my tripod and try to find something that will work.
