One morning, I got up and decided it would be fun to go out and take pictures. It was super fun to see the wind blowing through the water. It wasn’t super fun standing outside and freezing.
Arlington
You know we’ve been having a lot of fog lately. I’ve been waiting for it to be foggy during the day so I could go to Arlington National Cemetery and shoot the fog in the tombstones. Don’t you think that’d be cool? Well I thought yesterday was going to be the day. It was a little foggy but as the sun kept on rising, the fog slowly started lifting. Either way, I still think this is a cool image. I was also surprised to see the wreaths from Wreaths Across America still laid out. Very nice.
So I have to admit. I’ve been slacking a little on the picture taking. I dunno if it’s the cold air outside or the warmth of my bed that’s preventing me from getting out, but it’s gotta stop. Actually, I’m going out tonight with a new friend from the Arcanum. She’s in Laurie Rubin‘s cohort and am excited to get out there and shoot. It always makes it easier when you’re meeting up with someone.
This was taken last year in the winter time at sunrise.
I was driving home from taking pictures at the Tidal Basin when I just had to pull over. I loved how the light from the clouds was reflecting into the water.
I have lots to be grateful this thanksgiving. Mostly for my amazing family and friends, those who have served our country and being able to do what I love every single day. Thank you!
Another image from Arlington National Cemetery. So glad I was able to take capture this historic place with so many colorful trees. It’s always been on my list to photograph at this time of year, but it never happened.
