tomb of christ, angela b. pan, abpan, hdr, interior, architecture, franciscan monastery, travel, washington dc, ne dc,

While I was at the Franciscan Monastery last week (seen here), I was really excited to photograph this particular area. That was even before I found out that this is a replica of the Tomb of Christ from the Holy Land. I really liked how the candles were lined up, how it was framing the image of Jesus so perfectly, and how it just made you look at the ceiling. When I came home this was the first image that I tried to process.

National Gallery of Art, East Building, West Building, washington dc, museum, lights, walkway, hdr, angela b. pan, abpan

This is kinda of a different kind of image than I’m used to taking. What do you think of it? Should I do more abstract things like this?

This was taken at the National Gallery of Art. This hall of lights links the West Building with the East. It’s so much fun to go through because its like a mini light show.

Man, this place is GORGEOUS. I just found out about this place the other day when I was researching things to photograph in DC. For being such a small city, there are so many hidden treasures. This is definitely one of them. Can’t wait to find some more. If you have any suggestions of places to photograph in DC or anywhere else comment below 🙂

air force memorial, dusk, virginia, arlington, washington monument, angela b. pan, abpan, hdr, landscape,

I wasn’t planning on going out to take pictures, but I was taking my puppy out for a walk after a thunderstorm and noticed all the clouds. I quickly ran to my computer and tried to figure out a good sunset spot in the city. The Air Force Memorial is one of the newer memorials and I wasn’t sure if it would be a good place for sunset. I decided to try it anyways since I could point up in the sky and I could at least get some good clouds. I’m glad I waited til after the sunset, when all the other tourists went home, to get this shot.
