The natural history museum has always been my favorite Smithsonian museum. How about you? When I was little, my favorite part was always the rocks because they were so colorful and different.
Fun fact: Did you know that I used to intern at the Natural History Museum when I was in high school? I was a photo intern and loved every minute. (By the way, this is not the reason why it’s my favorite museum).
Tonight I went out to the reflecting pool to see if I could catch the pink moon. I was standing behind some trees so I didn’t get to see it until 8:45ish. So, I’m not sure if it was pink when it first started to rise, but it wasn’t pink above the trees 🙂
It’s pretty rare to capture a scene at the tidal basin during cherry blossom season with no one in it. It took a lot of patience and a little cropping 🙂
Last week I arrived at the tidal basin supppeeerrrr early to in hopes to get a good parking spot 🙂
It also allowed me to capture these beautiful colors before the sun was about to rise.

After the four days at the tidal basin, I got a little tired of going. So, I decided to try out a different spot.
