This image is 3 exposures combined into one, which is particularly difficult because the Capital police don’t allow tripods near the Capitol building. I had to hold my breath and lean against something stable in order to get this shot.

The night of the most recent pink moon, I was waiting for it to peak above the trees.
We’ve been getting a lot of storms these past few days. I wasn’t really doing anything Saturday night so I asked my husband if he wanted to come with me to take pics. Usually he doesn’t go, but we brought the puppy and made it a nice adventure. Driving into the city was kinda rainy. Luckily, by the time we parked it had completely stopped. We got a good 30 minutes of shooting time before it started POURING, lightening and thundering. I’m glad I got this shot when I did!
