So, I was walking along the Vietnam Veterans Memorial when I noticed someone had placed these carnations every few steps. I thought it was so beautiful that I had to find a creative way to capture it. I could of taken it straight from eye level but this deserved something different.
I took this shot right before I left to Philly. You know how it is before you leave for a trip. You get so busy running errands and making sure you have everything in order before you leave, so I didn’t have time to process any of these images.
I remember this being a super peaceful morning. I tried walking to the Lincoln Memorial a different way then I’m used to so I could see if I could find a new POV. Then I thought about the beautiful engraving on the steps. I was so concentrated on trying to get this shot, I didn’t even realize there were some army guys working out on the bottom of the steps. All of the sudden they all started charging up the steps. Well Good Morning to you guys too 😉

The inside of Union Station is equally as beautiful. I LOVE the gold color and unique perspectives you can find in here. It was a little difficult this time since half the ceiling is still under construction. Anyone know what they’re doing and when it’s supposed to be over?
Today I’ll be in Philadelphia, PA working on some special architectural images. Before the trip I thought it’d be a good idea to head over to Union Station and get a little practice in. Unfortunately there was no water in the fountain. Fortunately, you can always count on birds to make for a cooler looking image.
Again, I was going through some of my older pics and found this one. Right now the Capitol dome is under construction and all this beauty is covered by tarp. Can’t wait until the work is done and to tour the Capitol again. It’s one of those places that you can’t help but go “Wow”. I think my favorite part of this room is all the windows. They bring in so much light that really gives the room life.
