A few weeks ago, I spent a really rainy morning at Meadowlark Botanical Gardens. We took breaks in and out of the rain until it finally stopped. Luckily, the cherry blossoms were still in bloom and I got to take this beautiful shot with rain droplets.
We’ve all know the cherry blossoms around the tidal basin (or if you follow my blog regularly, you definitely know them), but have you heard of weeping cherry blossoms? I hadn’t heard of them until after one day towards the end of the cherry blossom season when Navin told me about them. I thought it sounded really cool and it was a coincidence the very next day, I go to Meadowlark Botanical Garden and they were in full bloom. They are so beautiful!
Taken about 20 minutes after this image, the GW parkway is a great place to watch the sunrise.
Old Town Alexandria is a beautiful place to take sunrise images in the morning. Theres something about being close to the water early morning that really makes you feel refreshed in the morning.
A sunset in Charlottesville, VA almost 1 year ago. I really enjoyed visiting this little town. Theres just this vibe of beauty and relaxation all around. Or maybe that was just me hanging out at the wineries?
