I’m not one of those photographers who carry around their cameras everywhere they go. 1. it’s too heavy! The 5DMII is one heavy arm accessory! 2. Usually when I take pics, I always have my tripod and sometimes it gets awkward to carry around.

But this day, I’m glad I had my camera. I set it up on a little ledge that I was leaning against and found a good angle to get all these amazing lines.

Thank you Veterans. Not just today but everyday.

This past Saturday, I got to spend an amazing evening with Rolling Thunder. Probably the biggest motorcycle gang in the US and they all meet in DC for Memorial Day weekend to raise awareness of POW MIA. Below is a picture of me donating my picture, Vietnam Memorial Cloudy Sunrise, to the president of the organization, Gary. It was a true honor to be at the event.

The past few mornings I’ve been waking up it’s been raining or extra cloudy. So, this morning when my alarm went off, I checked my weather app on my iphone and it said rain. So, I thought I could go back to sleep. I don’t know what happened, but I kinda just woke up and looked out the window and saw all this color. My app was wrong!! It wasn’t raining!
I quickly got up and hopped into my car. I drove just down the street to this lake I pass every morning. What’s funny about this lake is that I always look at it to see how the sunrise will be. Its a great indication if its going to be a colorful one or bad one, but I’ve never taken pics here. Today was the perfect day for that!
