reston town center, fountain, virginia, angela b. pan, abpan, after the rain

The weather called for rain/thunderstorms all day, but I found myself on weather.com hoping for a break. I wanted to shoot after the rain because I think thats when clouds look its best. Luckily, there was an hour in the day where it was suppose to be clear. I packed up my camera gear, grabbed my puppy, and we were out the door. Even though you can’t see the clouds that well in this image, it still created very good lighting.

I thought my blog needed a little more color.

Capturing this image made me think of summer carnivals. Those are the best, greasy food, fun rides, and tons of games. I can’t wait til the carnival comes around to take some night shots of all the lights. That will be a lot of fun. Til then..

Come with me to the World War II Memorial!

Here’s the final result:

I’m so glad spring is here. Not only is the weather warmer (which makes it easier to get out of bed for sunrise images) but the water fountains have turned on in DC! I held off of visiting some monuments because the water was off, so this opens up so many more doors for US 🙂

fern springs, water falls, yosemite, water, hdr, landscape, california, angela b. pan, abpan

And you thought I was done with California images?

Here’s one of my favorite little hideaways in Yosemite, Fern Springs. It is one of the littlest waterfalls in the country but its beautiful when you see it in person. When we got there, there was a little plaque that said that the water is good for drinking. We immediately went to our car and grabbed an empty water bottle. That water was the coldest, most refreshing water I’ve ever had. I wish I had some now.
