I finally broke free!!! I got out of the house but everything after that was a little crazy. I picked up my friend, Sue and we headed to DC. All smooth sailing until we had to find a parking spot. All my usual parking spots were still covered in snow. Then it was walking through all the snow. I started breaking a sweat by the time we got to the Monument. At one point Sue and I had to walk one-behind-another in order to keep from falling. But I fell. Sue turned around and saw me all in the snow. She fell from laughing at me so hard. It was hilarious. Then I got stuck in my driveway 3 different ways. No more driving for me until all the snow melts. Ill be a metro rider from now on.

arlington national cemetery, tree, early morning, fog, weather, wreaths across america, graves, soldiers, virginia, arlington, va

You know we’ve been having a lot of fog lately. I’ve been waiting for it to be foggy during the day so I could go to Arlington National Cemetery and shoot the fog in the tombstones. Don’t you think that’d be cool? Well I thought yesterday was going to be the day. It was a little foggy but as the sun kept on rising, the fog slowly started lifting. Either way, I still think this is a cool image. I was also surprised to see the wreaths from Wreaths Across America still laid out. Very nice.

Andrew and I spent a very cold but christmasy weekend in New York City. It was his birthday last week and thought it would be fun to have a little get away to celebrate. We did the usual touristy stuff like visiting Time Square and Rockefeller center but it was SOOO packed. So packed that it was hard to even walk. So sorry, no pictures from there. However, on our way to dinner we walked past Bryant Park. The Christmas Market caught my eye but it was the ice skating rink that I wanted to photograph. There was this cute couple with the guy helping his girl ice skate. It made for a sweet moment on the ice.
