Well this has been a fall-tastic week and I enjoyed every single minute of it. That’s why this week’s 3 things are all related to autumn.

  1. Great Falls Park’s amazing sunset earlier this week
  2. And that glow thou
  3. A super foggy morning made for a super peaceful morning at the Tidal Basin

Hope you all have time to go out this weekend and enjoy the colorful leaves!

It’s been a long while since Ive visited Great Falls Park. I don’t know why, I just all of the sudden stopped going. So I thought it was time to go back. I went straight to my favorite spot. Its close to the water where the Kayakers take off from. Can you believe people kayak down this? And even in November, you can still see them going up and down the water. I imagine it to be really cold. I can only imagine cuz you won’t catch me in there.

Went out with my intern, Jon a few days ago to shoot Rock Creek Park.  If you follow me on SnapChat (abpanphoto) you would of seen that I fell in the creek 🙁 The lower part of my legs got completely drenched and I have a nice bruise from the occasion but thats what you get when you’re trying to be proactive to get the shot. This was NOT the shot I was trying to get but hey, you can’t win them all.

You learn so much from photography. One day I was out taking pictures and I saw this bird. I had no idea what it was called but a person walking by stopped to admire it too. I asked him what if he knew what kind of bird it was and he told me it was a blue heron. Ever since that day, it’s one of the only birds I can identify besides your usual pigeon, seagull, etc. So now whenever I see a blue heron, I’m very quick to tell anyone next to me that it’s a blue heron. I think I sound smarter when I can identify birds. HAHA.
