I loved waking up in the mornings on the beach. I just felt so refreshed and ready to start the day. It was really surprising to see how many other people were awake. There were a lot of cars on the road and even more people jogging on the sidewalk.

Of course, you can’t forget the cypress trees in First Landing State Park. I’ve never seen anything like them before and take my breath away when I see them. When the right lighting hits them, they are AMAZING!
Although Hurricane Isaac won’t really affect us here in DC, I was wondering what the sky was going to look like in the morning because I know we’ll at least be getting rain. I decided to go to the Lincoln Memorial because I wanted to check out the reflecting pool. Looks like its all done except for the fencing that goes around it. Can’t wait til its completely open 🙂
How was your weekend? Mine was great. I got to do a little peach picking in Delaplane, VA and it was a great time! Luckily, there was a storm coming so it wasn’t crazy hot but it cut our time peach picking time short. It’s ok though, we got 2 bags full of amazing, juicy peaches 🙂
I was focusing on photographing the flower and all of the sudden the bee flew right in front of me. He knew I was taking pics and wanted in on the fun!
It’s pretty rare to see the WWII without any people in it. Here’s the secret: get your butt out of bed really early in the morning.
As I was driving in, I thought it was going to be a really nice sunrise because of how cloudy it was. And it was in a few areas of the sky. Hoping for more days like this one so I can get different perspectives 🙂
