Somewhere close to my house in Fairfax, VA. You’d think I was in Kansas or something, right Jeffrey?
I was watching my friend Kelly on Periscope yesterday and it made me think about our trip to the tulip festival in Washington.
I bet you didn’t know I’m a certified scuba diver. Yup! Andrew and I got certified right before we left for this trip. We had gone scuba diving a few times before this trip and every time we had to go through that introductory class and it’s always the same information plus it’s kinda boring. So we took the plunge and became certified!
I took these with my little canon point and shoot camera. I don’t even remember what it was called but I do remember getting the underwater housing from Amazon. It was this cute house that was mostly clear but had teal blue buttons all over 🙂
I was photographing the sunrise by the reflecting pool when I turned around and looked at the Lincoln Memorial. Mr. Lincoln was glowing! This orange light was radiating from the interior. I had to go inside.
I happened to be with my cousin who is the one standing ion the corner. I didn’t even notice him there until I was processing this image but left him in for scale.
Over the weekend, I was leading a workshop at the WWII memorial at sunset. We packed up our bags and was headed to the car when I noticed some color in the sky. We turned around and the sky was bursting with orange from behind the Lincoln Memorial. We just had to stop and enjoy the view 🙂
