I don’t even remember when this was taken. I know it was winter because I remember standing outside shivering in the mountain chill. I also know that this was taken in Shenandoah National Park along skyline drive. Where this photo was hiding I do not know that either.
In case you missed anything on the blog this past week, here’s a little recap.
I took you guys along with me to Scotts Run Nature Preserve. It was my first time there so I got a little freaked out. Please subscribe to my youtube channel if you like it
Taken in March during my Northern California trip, Rodeo Beach was my very first stop right off the plane.
I had a difficult time with this image. I tried many times, but never could get it exactly the way I wanted. The original image had many problem areas, so finally I decided to cropped them all out and concentrate on pieces.
Thanks to my friend, Tony who told me about this place. I’m embarassed to say that I used to live really close to this waterfall but never knew about it.
This is one of my favorite shots from this day because it reminds me of fireworks in the sky. Watch me try to find this beautiful spot: http://youtu.be/JzwDCOZhbQo
I’ve been planning this shot for a while now. I orginially had the idea for this shot in the winter, so everytime I went to Georgetown I brought my camera with me. But then there was something about the cold air, cars flying by and the fact that this shot would look the same in the winter and in the summer that convinced me that I could delay it for a few months.
This past week, Serendiptiy 3 opened in Georgetown and my Boyfriend and I had to go. We missed out in Vegas so I was really excited to eat some good ice cream and finally get this shot.
Driving along a road, this blue tractor caught my eye. I was debating whether or not I should turn around. 1. It was hot. 2. There was a family in the yard and I didn’t know if they would think I was weird or not. 3. It was just so much easier to pretend like I didn’t see it. But I DID see it. I kept thinking to myself, “blog, blog blog”. So I turned around, drove up to the family and asked if I could take a picture of the blue tractor in front of the lawn. The family was so nice. They told me that they bought it brand new in 1971. I’m so glad I pulled over, but I still don’t know if they think I’m weird.
