You never know what you’re going to get unless you go out there and keep on going. At first, I just thought this was going to be another day at Great Falls Park. Then I saw the fog rising like steam from a pot and thought it looked like a dream.
Despite popular belief, you don’t always get the best images every time you go out. I thought that this day was going to be one of those days until I started leaving the park. The sun had come up more and started illuminating the mountains behind. The fog was just extra.
This is an image I’ve had for a while but never was totally satisfied with it. I kept it in this folder on my desktop called “still working” for images I like but can’t figure out how to fix. Sometimes it’s best to take a little break and come back to it. I love how the fog is lining the tree.
Last image from this Manassas trip…. this week 🙂 The lighting, fog, and everything was so great. I got a lot of good images. Currently working on a panorama, but that may not be done til next week. Until then, have a great weekend!
Another one from the sunrise earlier this week. I haven’t visited the battlefield much, but every time I go, I come out with some beautiful images. I should go more often.
The weather called for fog and I wanted to do something a little different. Instead of driving to DC this morning, I headed to Manassas, VA. The extra surprise was the beautiful sunrise.
