Love summer storms. Especially when they happen during sunset. How amazing is are those clouds and the flags blowing in the wind.
Washington DC
I remember the exact time I took this image. 5:21am. How do I remember? I took a snapchat of this same exact shot and applied the time filter to it. Then when I got back to my car, I realized I got my very first DC parking ticket. Guess what time it was at? 5:21am. Argh!!!
We had some crazy storms yesterday in the DC area. So whenever that happens, I try my best to make it out for sunset to shoot. Luckily by that time they had already passed and left some pretty awesome clouds in their wake.
Went to bed wayyy too late on Saturday but I was determined to wake up for sunrise on Sunday. I had already made up my mind up earlier in the day to go. Damn my decisiveness! But the sunrise turned out pretty cool. Worth the trip but crashed as soon as I got home.
Walking up the steps, I noticed this large puddle right in front of the marker of Martin Luther King Jr’s “I had a dream” speech. How cool is it to see the columns in the reflection of the puddles.

Early morning at one of my favorite memorials in DC, the Jefferson Memorial. It’s one of my favorites because its kind of off to its own on the side. Not as many visit it, but it’s still just as spectacular as all the others.
