Last week, while I was visiting Hungry Mother State Park, I wanted to go to Grayson Highlands that was just about an hour away. I had seen all these pictures of these wild horses and I really wanted to capture them at sunset. I thought it would be an amazing photo!
Getting to Grayson Highlands was a different story. It was up this huge mountain with no street lights, no cell phone reception and houses every few miles. That was not something I wanted to be driving through in the dark. Overall, I’m just happy I got some horsey pics 🙂
If you’re not from the east coast, maybe you don’t know, but we’ve been getting some serious heat! Like 100+ degrees almost everyday. But to top it all off, we had this huge thunderstorm Friday night that left millions of people in the DC area without power and telephone service (some are still experiencing this today!). Luckily, we got ours back Saturday night, but when I got up Saturday morning to take pics of the sunrise, it was pretty difficult getting dressed in the dark.
Do you all read books? I’ve been reading a lot more lately. I’ve noticed that I try to finish my work as soon as I can just so I can sit down and read. Not sure what has gotten into me because I don’t remember ever being like this even when I was little. I guess I just found a subject that I like- working on becoming a happier/better person.
What books are you reading?
