Honored to have been at the right place at the right time to make this image. Humbled by all the emails and messages I’ve gotten from vets and their families telling me their stories and trusting me with their emotions. Happy Veterans day today and everyday. ✌
Don’t you feel so small? Like the world is so big and theres so much going around you but you’re just this teeny tiny person trying to make it in the world. That’s what I feel like when I look at this image. And to add some additional perspective, see if you can find the couple amongst the trees.
I’m one of those annoying people who always forgets to bring their headphones so I start blasting my music from my iPhone while I’m out taking pictures. I’m like a walking boombox! So a lot of the times if you hear some Beyonce playing, it’s probably me. #hotlinebling
Well this has been a fall-tastic week and I enjoyed every single minute of it. That’s why this week’s 3 things are all related to autumn.
- Great Falls Park’s amazing sunset earlier this week
- And that glow thou
- A super foggy morning made for a super peaceful morning at the Tidal Basin
Hope you all have time to go out this weekend and enjoy the colorful leaves!
Sometimes people will come up to me and be like, “Angela, where’s a good place to go in DC to shoot fall colors.”
Then I’ll go, “Well, tidal basin is one of my favorites. The Cherry Blossom trees are great in the spring but they’re really awesome in the fall time too.”
Than the other person will go, “Hey Thanks! I never thought about that. You’re really smart.”
And then I’ll go, “You’re welcome 🙂 Glad I could help!”
And that’s how a typical conversation will go when talking about autumn in DC…. or maybe I just made that up in my head because I drank too much coffee this morning. Either way, I’m entertained.
Another one from the other night. This one was right before sunset and the sun was shining directly on the trees in Maryland. I had never seen the trees glow so red before. I instantly felt like I was in the Southwest somewhere.
