I’m not sure if you can normally see the reflection of the Lincoln Memorial, but it was raining the day before and there was a lot of water that got dragged into the memorial. I thought it was really cool to see the reflection.

Love the signs of spring! I can’t wait! Mostly because I really like taking these flora images. I feel very peaceful and calm while I’m taking these pictures. It’s not a high pressure situation like sunrises/sunsets.
On day two of my exploration of Cunningham Falls State Park I decided to hunt down the waterfall. It was 16 degrees (Yea! I know) and I knew there had to be some kind of cool ice formations. Next time, I’m going to try to go to the top!
Exploring a new part of Maryland for me, Cunningham Falls State Park in the Catoctin Mountains. Seriously, this place is beautiful. I only got to spend a little bit of time there but hopefully I’ll have time this weekend for some more exploration!

St. Mary’s Parish has always been on my “to photograph” list. I’ve seen so many images of it on flickr that I’ve always kept it in the back of my mind. I was a little intimidated when I walked it. There were a lot of people sitting in the pews and I didn’t want to disturb them by my camera clicks. Next time I visit, I’ll try to go when no one is inside.
