It’s been a long while since Ive visited Great Falls Park. I don’t know why, I just all of the sudden stopped going. So I thought it was time to go back. I went straight to my favorite spot. Its close to the water where the Kayakers take off from. Can you believe people kayak down this? And even in November, you can still see them going up and down the water. I imagine it to be really cold. I can only imagine cuz you won’t catch me in there.
I had so much fun this past Saturday walking around Arlington Cemetery. It was a super nice day, very cool with a little breeze. The perfect excuse to be outside and doing what you love. I remember visiting the cemetery last year towards the end of the color change and making a mental note to be back again. Glad that Jay, Manny, Joe (and his wife and daughter), and Eric were able to join me. They are some local Arcanum photographers who were awesome enough to meet up on this last minute photo adventure. Here’s a picture of us by the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. For some reason I felt the need to leave the tripod in the shot. HAHA.
Who’s excited for Halloween? I have big plans for the weekend involving a Frankenstein puppy dressed up as a bear as we go trick-or-treating with my nephews. My nephews are 11 and 9 now. Do you think they’re too old to have their aunt and uncle go with them? The best part of halloween is after they’re done trick-or-treating, I get to raid all their candy and keep the chocolates for myself 🙂
I’m also meeting up with some local Arcanum friends and shooting the Arlington Cemetery. Love the cemetery at this time of the year. The trees are beautiful and thought it would be fitting considering the holiday.
Here are three things that I was grateful this week:
- Home for all the fall leaves to be changing. Love this time of year 🙂
- Loving this year’s Dynamic DC calendar. They’re almost sold out!
- This makes me laugh.
My grandparents live really close to Tamkang University. Actually, we’d catch the bus into the city from there. This is along the walk. The University is gorgeous with its traditional Chinese architecture.
Went out with my intern, Jon a few days ago to shoot Rock Creek Park. If you follow me on SnapChat (abpanphoto) you would of seen that I fell in the creek 🙁 The lower part of my legs got completely drenched and I have a nice bruise from the occasion but thats what you get when you’re trying to be proactive to get the shot. This was NOT the shot I was trying to get but hey, you can’t win them all.
So glad I’m home for all the leaves on trees to be changing. Something about it makes me so happy. I think it reminds me of my mom. You can’t go on a walk with her without her stopping every few steps to look at flowers or fruits growing from a tree. Now that I think of it, people can probably say the same thing about me and taking pictures. HAHA.
And here’s a super awesome photo of me throwing leaves in the air from the same spot 🙂
