Right before I left to the Virgin Islands, I joined Walk With Locals for their Midnight at the Monuments instameet. I’ve always wanted to go to the monuments in the middle of the night but never had the motivation to do so until then. So glad I did. You seem some interesting stuff at night including skateboarders at the Washington Monument trying new tricks, girls dressed up for prom at the Lincoln Memorial and who knows what else I missed in the darkness.
Happy Memorial Day! Thank you to all our veterans who served our country. Thank you for our freedom. Thank you for making it safe for me to enjoy the sunrise everyday.
To show my appreciation, I’d like to offer 30% off of all my prints for the whole week. All my prints, including the Vietnam Veterans Memorial images. Please use coupon code “ThankYouVets” at checkout. To see all the prints, click here.
Why did we leave again? I left my camera battery charger and an extra battery in our hotel room. I think I should go back and get it 🙂
If you ever find yourself in St John, head straight to Cinnamon Bay. Don’t bother with Trunk Bay because its way more crowded. Plus you pay to enter. Cinnamon bay is bigger and far less people there. They also have a restaurant so you could spend the whole day there. Trust me. Cinnamon Bay.
The first morning we were in St Thomas I woke up early to catch the sunrise. It wasn’t the best sunrise I had ever seen but its just so calming to listen to the ocean waves while taking pictures. The original plan was to wake up Sue so she could come out and watch the sunrise with me. That was not happening. So Sue, this was your birthday sunrise! I hope you like it 🙂
I went out last night to shoot the sunset. We’ve been having such crazy, rainy weather that I was expecting much. But I’m so glad I went because the sunset turned out amazing! Then I ran into my friend, Andy! Which made it even more worth it 🙂
