You can tell when it’s August in DC. Congress is out of session and there are definitely less people out and about.
There was a special exhibit at the National Building Museum. A MAZE! I had to go visit!
Went out to the Tidal Basin last night after it stopped raining. Usually you can see some pretty colors in the sky after the rain, but I think the clouds were trying to move out. Fast.
A beautiful afternoon at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, Washington DC. I never knew about this shrine until my friends from EWTN told me about it. And I’m glad they did.
My first time shooting the supermoon! I didn’t have an idea what to expect. After waiting about 10 minutes, I finally saw it! But it was covered by clouds and I could see a faint red circle in the sky. This was taken about an hour after the moon rising.
Growing up in the Washington DC area, sometimes its hard to find new perspectives on monuments and places that have been photographed thousands of times. I think the Memorial Bridge is a great place to get started.
