I went out to the Old Post Office the other day to check it out. Unfortunately, I didn’t have my tripod with me, so I had to improvise. I placed my camera bag on the ground and put my camera on top of that. I love the lines on the ground leading you towards the arches.
Although Hurricane Isaac won’t really affect us here in DC, I was wondering what the sky was going to look like in the morning because I know we’ll at least be getting rain. I decided to go to the Lincoln Memorial because I wanted to check out the reflecting pool. Looks like its all done except for the fencing that goes around it. Can’t wait til its completely open 🙂
Sunset in DC! Lately we’ve been getting some beautiful sunsets. So, I’m glad I got the chance to go out and get this shot. Sometimes its hard for me to go out for sunset because I kinda have to stop my day to go out. I also wanted to see the progression of the reflecting pool. I can’t wait to see it when it opens. Which should be sometime soon!
Hand held 3 exposure HDR image. Yea! It’s hard to stay that still during the exposures. You just gotta hold your breath.
Just trying to get a different view of the Capitol. My original intention was to get a shot of the Old Post Office, but it was hard for me to get a view of it with the sky. Another day Old Post Office, another day.
On yesterdays blog post I talked about waking up early. Well, I went to sleep early just so I could get up about 30 minutes early. SUCESS! But didn’t get to see the red glow that I saw the past few days. Next time for sure!
